Plough-shaped mixing tools are mounted on arms along the shaft, positioned to sweep close to the drum wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the shaft rotates, each tool scoops material away from the wall and flings it outward and back across the drum. Twin-shaft paddle mixers work around the point where material becomes briefly weightless. Plough shear mixers run faster still, in the centrifugal range, where material is thrown outward against the wall with real force before tumbling back through the bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That higher intensity is what gives plough shear mixers their speed and their ability to handle difficult jobs. It is also why they need more care with fragile particles than gentler designs, since more energy goes into the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Choppers, Cutters and Intensifiers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On their own, the plough tools blend quickly and move material hard. Many jobs need something extra: breaking up lumps, dispersing agglomerates or adding local shear. That is where choppers come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choppers are small, high-speed blades mounted separately in the drum wall, usually driven by their own motors. Material thrown by the ploughs passes through the spinning chopper blades, which break lumps apart and add intense shear in a small zone.
